About Hollow Rotary Table For Inspection Machine
Introduction
Founded over a decade ago, Sango has spent more than 10 years deepening its expertise in precision automation components - building a reputation as a trusted partner for engineers and system integrators across semiconductor, automotive, and electronics manufacturing industries.
Based on a profound understanding of the stringent requirements of the testing industry, Sango has launched this series of high-performance hollow rotary table. Combining direct-drive (DD) motor technology with a through-hole architecture, the platform delivers the precision, rigidity, and cable-management flexibility that modern automated optical inspection (AOI), coordinate measuring machine (CMM), and vision inspection systems demand.
Core Technical Advantages
Large-diameter hollow structure
The hollow design enables the camera's backlight system, high-frequency visual signal lines, pneumatic pipelines, and even laser paths to pass directly through the center of the turntable. This solves the problem of cable entanglement during rotation. In scenarios where dual cameras need to be synchronized for detection up and down, this structure can achieve coaxial visual detection, significantly simplifying the mechanical design of the equipment and reducing the overall size.
Running smoothly
By combining precise mechanical processing with high-precision ball bearings, the face run-out and eccentricity of the turntable are controlled to the micron level. This ensures that the inspection surface of the workpiece remains within the depth of field (DOF) range of the visual system throughout the indexing rotation process.
Quick response
With an integrated structure design, it significantly reduces the backlash and elastic deformation in traditional belt or gear transmission. Combined with high-response servo control, it provides extremely high torque rigidity. In high-speed and frequent indexing detection, it enables the camera to complete the capture immediately after the turntable stops, thereby significantly shortening the single detection cycle and improving the production line throughput.
Application Scenarios
Fastener & Miniature Component Sorting
The turntable is equipped with a transparent glass disc. The bottom light source is deployed through the hollow center to achieve vertical projection detection. By synchronously triggering with the vision system, the system can automatically reject defective products with size deviations or damaged threads, enabling unmanned, high-speed full inspection.
AOI for PCB
The extremely high end face runout accuracy of the hollow turntable ensures that the imaging focal lengths of the circuit board edges and the center remain consistent under the multi-magnification microscopic camera, avoiding the common edge blur problem encountered in the detection of large-sized PCBs.
Semiconductor Pick-and-Place & Taping
The hollow platform, as the core component of the high-speed turret, utilizes its low rotational inertia to ensure that the chip can be precisely positioned and triggered for visual alignment within seconds of stopping, thereby directly enhancing the output efficiency of the tape packaging line.
Pharmaceutical Bottle & Cap Inspection
In the high-speed operation environment of packaging machinery, the rotating platform can bear the detection load and precisely position the bottle angle during rotation, meeting the strict requirements of the packaging industry for high-frequency and long-life division.
EV Battery Cell & Weld Inspection
The battery cells are placed above the rotating platform and rotate at high speed. The camera, through the linkage between the side and top, completes the sub-millimeter-level capture of the appearance and solder joints of the battery cells in a single rotation.
How to Choose the Right Hollow Rotary Table Model
Selecting the correct hollow rotary table begins with four engineering parameters.
